Happy & healthy stomach keeps your day going. Here are some home remedies to keep your digestive system healthy

1.      Constipation
Have a glass of hot milk with a teaspoon of clarified butter at bedtime or drink a glass of boiled water with one teaspoon of flax seeds.

 

2.      Gas
Consume a cup of water with a pinch of baking soda & lemon juice.

 

3.      Nausea & Vomiting
Chew ½ teaspoon of celery seeds and drink 1 cup of warm water.

 

4.      Removal of Intestinal Worms
Take a mixture of ¼ teaspoon of celery seeds and ½ teaspoon vidanga thrice a day after meals for 2 weeks.

 

5.      Heat-Related Exhaustion
Consume a glass of coconut water, or grape juice. Alternatively, you can churn out a juice of three dates, with eight ounces of water and drink it up.

 

6.      Overeating
Squeeze half a lemon in a cup of warm water and add a pnch of baking soda – drink it up. Or, roast fennel and coriander seeds - one teaspoon each - with a pinch of salt.

 

7.      Lack of Appetite
Chew a thin slice of fresh ginger with a pinch of salt, 10 minutes before meals.

 

8.      Diarrhoea & Abdominal Pain
Apply a little fresh ginger juice around the belly button.
